President ED takes sanctions fight to AU

International peace and cooperation can only be enhanced through dialogue, not sanctions, President Mnangagwa told the African Union (AU) Summit.

In his address on the second day of the meeting of the Assembly of the African Union (AU) yesterday, President Mnangagwa called for the unconditional removal of the unilateral sanctions that have been stifling economic growth for two decades.


President to oversee Zida

The Zimbabwe Development Agency (ZIDA) which will be established following the signing into law of the ZIDA Act, would be supervised by the Office of the President and Cabinet.

President Mnangagwa signed the ZIDA Act into law on Thursday and it was gazetted yesterday.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday hailed church leaders for their rallying call for unity, saying the broader society must emulate the clergy.

The President also committed to address concerns raised by indigenous churches that include access to land for purposes of worship as well as other viable programmes to materially promote their development.
